When a zipper breaks, one of the first reflexes is to change it or to throw away the garment with the broken zipper. But did you know that it is so easy to put it back in place? It can take you less than 2 minutes to fix a broken zipper
A few years earlier, my first reaction would have been to bring the backpack to my neighborhood shoemaker to change it. Since it was Sunday, I had no other options but to learn how to repair the zippers on my own at home.
Today, I’m giving you a quick tutorial to repair a broken zipper from home.
For this tutorial, you will need:
- a broken zipper
- a pair of flat pliers
- Put the flat pliers on the right edge of the zipper
- Press for 10 seconds.
- Do the same on the left side.
- Now you can slide the zipper and it should feel like it’s brand new one !
